Adrish organic cacao powder has a rich, brown colour, a smooth texture and a decadent full-bodied, tangy chocolate flavour and aroma.

How are they made?

This organic raw cacao powder is made from natural locally grown cacao beans which are sustainably sourced from small communities in Kerala. The pods are harvested and cracked open before the beans are removed and are fermented on banana leaves naturally. These Cacao beans are not roasted but are peeled and sundried for days so as to make powder.

5. Wonderful substitute to chocolate powder or cocoa in any baking recipe –brownies, cookies and cakes. As raw cacao has a much fuller flavour than many cocoa powders, you may wish to use less than usual.

Recipe for Vegan Cacao powder beverage –

Ingredients 

2 tsp cacao powder, fresh chilled coconut water, lots of ice.

Method 

Make a cacao powder paste (add 1-2 tsp of powder to little water and stir it continuously to make a soft paste). Add fresh chilled coconut water and lots of ice to it for a cool milk free refreshment. 

Storage

Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.  Refrigeration recommended in warm climates.
